Quint Geis, a recent graduate student in Educational Administration, worked with the Center for People in Need to update a resource guide for people in the Lincoln/ Lancaster County area who are experiencing homelessness. Quint's thesis centered around college student homelessness. As a way to ensure advisors are equipped with the tools needed to assist students experiencing homelessness, the following resource guide is available.

In a recent brownbag luncheon, we discussed assisting students who come to college underprepared. One mechanism that was discussed is intrusive advising. A recent article published in NACADA's Academic Advising Today by Jennifer Cannon was entitled "Intrusive Advising 101: How to be intrusive without intruding." To read this article, click here.
